I believe your body deserves respect from the first moment to the last. For me, that belief is personal, and draping is how I honor it.
It happens more often than we talk about. A client is offered a towel or encouraged to skip it to conserve water and electricity. Some say it’s fine. Other times, a towel isn’t offered at all. What started as an effort to be more sustainable has created a choice the client should never have to make.
The industry calls this normal. “Clients are used to it.” But familiar doesn't have to remain the standard. No one should have to settle for an experience they wouldn't choose for themselves.

Why silicone instead of fabric?
Traditional towels were never designed for repeated exposure to wax, adhesives, oils, disinfectants, and constant laundering. DuraVie takes a different approach. Its patent-pending engineered surface is designed specifically for professional treatments, helping products release more easily, simplifying cleanup, and delivering consistent performance service after service.
How is DuraVie positioned during a service?
DuraVie is used much like a traditional towel. One side is tucked beneath the client's body while the opposite side provides coverage. Its flexibility, considered weight, and silicone construction help it maintain more consistent coverage with less shifting than a traditional towel throughout the service.
How do I clean and disinfect it between clients?
DuraVie is designed to be cleaned and disinfected between every client. Because the surface is non-porous, wax, adhesives, oils, and other residue wipe away more easily than they would from fabric, and some products may need an appropriate cleaner first. After removing visible residue, clean the surface, then disinfect using an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant according to the manufacturer's directions, including the full contact time required to be effective. Because professional treatments can involve exposure to blood or other contaminants, always follow the disinfection standards required by your state board or local health authority. How long does a cover last?
DuraVie is designed for years of professional use. While cosmetic wear may develop over time depending on the services performed and cleaning methods used, it does not affect the cover's intended performance. Many practitioners replace a cover because they want a fresh appearance, not because it has stopped working.
Is the material safe for skin?
DuraVie is made from food-contact grade silicone and independently tested by SGS to FDA 21 CFR 177.2600. The material is non-porous, hypoallergenic, and thoughtfully selected for repeated professional contact with skin, including clients with reactive or sensitive skin.
Can it be warmed or cooled?
Yes. DuraVie can be gently warmed using a towel warmer, warming drawer, or similar equipment, allowing the silicone to feel comfortably warm against the body. It can also be cooled when a cooler surface is preferred. Follow the care guide for recommended temperatures and warming methods.
What size is the cover, and what services is it for?
Each DuraVie body cover measures 10½ × 27 inches (26.7 × 68.6 cm). The size was intentionally developed to provide effective coverage while remaining easy to fold, tuck, and position during professional treatments. It is suitable for waxing, laser hair removal, massage, body treatments, and nail services, anywhere thoughtful, hygienic draping matters.
How many covers should my practice have?
That depends on your schedule. Most practices keep multiple covers in rotation so a clean cover is always available while another is being cleaned and disinfected between clients. The four-pack was created for exactly that workflow.
What happens at the end of a cover's life?
DuraVie is designed to provide years of professional service before replacement becomes necessary. Looking ahead, a reclamation program is in development so retired covers can be recovered and given a new purpose rather than discarded. It is one more step toward DuraVie's long-term vision of keeping valuable materials in use for as long as possible.
